Stringers Ridge is a 92-acre urban wilderness park in North Chattanooga overlooking the Tennessee River. The result of a citizen based effort to preserve one of the last large natural areas within the City of Chattanooga limits, the park features easy to moderately technical multi use trails, a Civil War cannon placement and spectacular views of the city. For more information, visit SORBA's website.
Beginning at TVA's Chickamauga Dam and stretching ten miles along the Tennessee River to downtown Chattanooga, the TN Riverwalk leads to parks and breath-taking views along the river. The path is used for bicycling, in-line skating, walking, jogging and fitness pursuits. It also includes the Chattanooga Rowing Center and several canoe/kayak launches. Leashed pets are allowed on the TN Riverwalk from the Bluff View Art District to St Elmo.
