11-26-2012 Arsonist Arrested for Repeat Offense
Chattanooga fire investigators have arrested a Chattanooga man for starting another fire. Shortly after 11:00 this morning at Signal Plating at 1608 Camden Street, workers inside the business noticed smoke was coming coming into the building from a vent fan that brings in air from the outside.
11-18-2012 Chattanooga Firefighters Finish 8th in World Competition
Two Chattanooga firefighters represented their department and the state of Tennessee quite well in the Firefighter Combat Challenge's World Challenge XXI in Myrtle Beach, S.C. over the weekend. Lt. Eric Stone aand Senior Firefighter Vernon Horn finisished 8th in the world in the tandem competition.
11-16-2012 Forgotten Child Fund Starts New Season
The Forgotten Child Fund kicked off its annual campaign this morning with an unwrapped toy drive at the Sports Barn East on Lee Highway. Between the hours of 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., free chili and hot dogs will be offered in exchange for a new toy.

When Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast, New Jersey firefighters were among the victims. Now, a former "Jersey Girl" who lives in Chattanooga wants to help, and she's getting other volunteers to join her cause.
