07-05-2012 Update on House Fire at 705 Creek Drive
Update: The cause of yesterday's fire at 705 Creek Drive has been ruled accidental. Lt. Andrew Waters with the Fire Investigation Division said the fire appears to have started around a flood light, which was located at the front of the house, surrounded by dry mulch.
07-05-2012 Morning Fire in East Lake
Chattanooga firefighters were out early this morning battling a house fire in the East Lake community. The 911 Communications Center received the first call of the fire at 2:40 a.m. and the Chattanooga Fire Department responded with five fire companies.
07-04-2012 House Damaged in Morning Fire...One Firefighter Injured
Chattanooga firefighters responded to a house fire at 705 Creek Drive. The department received the alarm at 9:00 a.m. and responded with five fire companies. Captain Craig Haney said he could see smoke from Mountain Creek Road while responding from Station 17 on Signal Mountain Boulevard.
06-21-2012 Small Fire Forces Evacuation of Delta Queen
John Price, an assistant manager on the Delta Queen, was on the top deck this afternoon around 5:00 when he noticed smoke billowing up from the river side of the boat. Mr. Price activated the fire alarm, called 911 and immediately ordered the evacuation of the riverboat.
06-17-2012 Early Morning Arson Arrest
Chattanooga fire investigators arrested a local woman for aggravated arson earlier today. The incident began around 5:00 a.m. today at 1929 Sherman Street.
