Emergency


The Emergency section is a conglomeration of functions that provides an array of services.

Emergency crews work every day of the year, 24/7.

Services include:

  • cleanup of chemical spills
  • dead animal pick up
  • ground maintenance at City Wide Services
  • litter pick up
  • salt & sand application for snow and ice problems
  • special event maintenance
  • tire pick up (illegaly dumped)

Second and third shifts perform all of the above functions in addition to emergency pothole repair and street cleanup after storms and vehicle accidents.

All shifts respond to Fire and Police Departments requests.

Mission:
To preserve and enhance the quality of the physical environment and infrastructure through prompt, cost effective and courteous delivery of services which protect the health, safety and welfare of citizens.
