Mowing

The City of Chattanooga utilizes a mowing crew on service requests that are for right-of-way mowing, sight problems, or emergencies.

Crews are also mobilized on a fixed route which include:

  • 2 tractors in winter
  • Push mowers
  • Weed eaters
  • Weed killer

Main thorough fares and high traffic areas are maintained throughout the year.

Weed killer is sprayed on sidewalks, curbs, and guardrails during spring and summer months.

The City of Chattanooga has recently acquired a remote control slopemower to mow areas with steep inclines.  This mower has a decreased chance of flipping over due to its low center of gravity and has a 1,000 ft remote signal.
